Comprehensive Eye Exams
We provide comprehensive Eye Exams for adults and kids ages 4 and up.
During your exam at Direct Optical, our optometrists will perform the following services:
Review Eye Health & History
Vision problems, general health, current medications, working environment, hobbies, etc. as related to your eye health and function
Optos, State of The Art Technology To Detect Possible Disorders
Including inter-ocular disorders such as macular degeneration, glaucoma and malignant melanoma of the eye (retinal moles that can turn into skin cancer), retinal thinning and tears (detachments).
Evaluations & Testing
Review current prescriptions, testing eyes' ability to see clearly at all distances, eye coordination and muscle control and measuring eyes' ability to change focus, cataract evaluation and eye pressure check to determine glaucoma.
Contact Lens Fittings
If you wear contacts or want contacts, the FDA requires that you must have an up to date yearly exam and valid prescription to purchase contact lenses!
Our contact lens exam and fitting includes a prescription valid for one year, trial contact lenses and if needed a private care and maintenance class.
There are many different types and brands of contacts available that make it possible for many people, no matter what their vision need to wear, let the experts at Direct Optical help you.
Please note, contact lens fittings are a separate fee than a comprehensive eye exam.
